Eco-Friendly Travel Tips

Disposable product use and overconsumption are common when away from home. Here are some tips to help the environment this travel season!

Carpool! While carpooling may seem monotonous, it is a great way to connect with friends and family while also reducing carbon emissions. Talk to local friends and family and ask if they would like to join you on your travels. Not only can you tag team the drive, but you can also split the cost of gas. Hello budget friendly!!

Consider using refillable bottles to pack personal hygiene products. Instead of purchasing travel-sized products, purchase bottles that can be reused at every travel stop. Reusable bottles also allow you to pick out your own haircare and hygiene products. No longer worry whether you will like the drugstore shampoo you picked up at the airport!

Walk when possible! If you are traveling to a new location or somewhere warm this winter, opt for walking over a vehicle whenever available. Walking allows you to slow down, take in new views, and get some sunshine, not to mention the positive impact it has on the environment.

When possible, eat in rather than ordering takeout. You can eliminate unnecessary plastic containers and bags by sitting down for a meal. However, there is no need to worry if the location holds Wholeleaf products!
